Eye spots

Minnaie
Hi, I had another question.  I just had my eyes checked and the technician used a light to look at my pupils and it seemed I was seeing spots afterwards for maybe 5 to 7 minutes from my right eye.  I'm not sure if she may have shined it directly into my eyes as she told me to look straight at a mirror.  I don't see the spots anymore but was wondering why did it take so long to go away and any damage to worry about?

THanks,

That degree of light exposure would not cause any damage or persistence of "spots" in the eyes that would last more than 10-15 minutes.
