Eye test when tired

Hi,

I am short sighted and have been wearing glasses for 4 years or so now, with only slight changes to my prescription during this time. Today, the optometrist said that distance wise my right eye had improved (slightly), but that the stigmatism had gotten worse? Is this something that happens or should I be seeking a second opinion? It is also perhaps important to note that I am a shift worker and have just come off 5 x 2am starts, so my eyes are tired, sore and dry from fatigue anyway.. The optometrist I saw insisted that this wouldn't effect the test results though. It was a different optometrist to last time, but through the same shop.

Thanks,
Jen

Do anti-glare lenses have much of a postive impact generally? Or is it a money maker for the optometrist?

Those things happen, its not unusual, being tired or off shift should not effect the results.
