Film over my eye

There is a film over my right eye I've noticed for a long time.  I wear contact lenses so I even was
trying to take out the film on my eye like I take out my contact lenses.  It's that real to me.  And my right eye's
vision has been getting worse.  I can barely see out of it.  It's that blind.  So I went to an optomatrist (sp) and she
saw nothing wrong.  How can I and she can't.  She should have diolated my eyes maybe?

1. dry eyes and blepharitis often exist together. Both are chronic problems which means you work to control them not cure them. Much written in these forums about treatment of dry eyes and blepharitis which you should review. Also look under Today's Pulse there is good article on dry eyes.
2. Against these diagnoses is the fact that dry eyes and blepharitis are bilateral diseases although they can be worse in one eye than another.
3. Another possibility if your right eye had the RD and cataract surgery is that the "film" is reduced vision not something on the surface of the eye. Thus "in" the eye not "on the eye".
4. If you wear a contact lens that is often the cause.
5. What is your best vision in each eye with glasses?

Thick film over right eye which does not go away with drops or cleaning of eyelids... vision remains cloudy with this thick film. Have been to opthamologist who primarily thinks it is dry eye but drops don't help. Prior opthamologist thought it was blepheritist... I've cleaned the eye as per directions for the blepheritist which doesn't work. don't care what it is but it impairs my vision on a constant basis.... I've had a retina detachment in the eye and cataract surgery also, but this condition existied prior to these surgeries...
