Flicker in eye only when eye is closed

I am 25 years old, have -12 vision in both eyes and been seeing floaters in both eyes for a few months.

I recently posted a question in forum about a flash of light that I saw when I put my head on the pillow at night. I visited my ophthalmologist who did a dilated eye exam and found everything to be ok. I can't remember exactly what he said the flash of light was but it could be due to sudden head movement.

Would like to ask what could be the cause of a light flash/flicker that always appears in the same spot (at the center) only when the eyes are closed and seems to fade away as I blink my eyes.

Thank you very much for your concern and apologies for the late reply as I have been busy with work, Christmas etc.
I went to my ophthalmologist (who used to be the head of the ophthalmology department at a public hospital before venturing into private practice) again for a checkup. He did a dilated eye exam, found that I have some vitreous condensation in my right eye but other than that, nothing different from the previous checkup. Retinas in both eyes are fine.

Shall continue to go for regular checkups and keep a lookout for any changes.

Although you are a bit young for it your vitreous is already changing.
First changes in this jelly were found in children's eyes.
Some parts of the vitreous liquidify with age (and myopia) and form pockets of liquid.
These and other irregularities could be what you see as floaters.

Flashes come from traction of the vitreous on the retina. This can lead to PVD (posterior vitreous detachment).
Any increase in flashes and floaters shouild be evaluated by an eye md. There is a risk of retinal detachment.

Sorry typo error there I have been noticing floaters for a couple of years and they increased this year. The flicker never appears when my eyes are open, not even when it's dark. The only time it seems to appear is when my head is on the pillow and I am trying to fall asleep.
