Dot I'm worried about in my left eye

I probably shouldn't be posting about this so quick as it might go away soon but I'm the type of person who thinks he'll go blind from something like this.

Anyway, about 24 hrs ago I noticed a small little dot on my eye that wouldn't go away, something almost exactly like from looking at light or something. (It's normal for that too right?) Looking at light then being able to close your eyes and see little marks where the light was? Well it's like that only in a little circle. It just started again about an hr and 20 mins ago and is beginning to bother me and worry me

I am worried because recently past 3-4 days I've been feeling pain when looking up and going left to right. The pain is dull but still painful. This morning i woke up and it wasn't so bad, but now my eyes ache lightly, but it may be from the rubbing and all in a small attempt to make the little spot go away.

I've had a bug for past few days, no stuffy nose, some light headaches and nausia, sensitive skin/weakness and the like.... I also spend a lot of time on my PC, but I haven't especially in the time I've had this cold... any ideas whats wrong?

thanks a lot it really helps.

It's still here after a couple of hours, it hasn't changed in size or color.

The reason I assumed its my left eye is because it's been achey, the achiness has gone down a little I'm about to sleep and will see how it is in the morning thanks a lot for help again.

It's hard to tell from your description the exact nature of your problem but the closest thing might be a positive scotoma (blind spot) from an ophthalmic or eye migraine. These need not have a headache with them.

It is very very unlikely to cause you to go blind and will probably go away on its own.

I would suggest that you make an appointment to see an Eye MD (ophthalmologist) for a comprehensive medical eye examination.

If this weekend your symptoms worsen or new symptoms develop, you get double vision, severe headache you should go to an emergency room.
