Thanks, John. I appreciate the help.
No get your money back while you can. Wear your most comfortable pair of glasses when you see the ophthalmologist. And tell him/her the problems you had adjusting to the new pair.

They have made the glasses twice without really correcting the problem. They did offer to give me a refund. I will return tomorrow and get a refund. I likely should see another ophthalmologist. Would you recommend I take these glasses with me to the new doctor?
If possible get your money back if you are unhappy. OTherwise most MDs and optoms do not charge for a glasses recheck to see what can be done to make you "happy" also changes within 30 days at least one time are normally done without charge to you.

I had the exam and got the glasses from the optical department of a national chain store. Would you recommend another examination elsewhere?
I have not been wearing the glasses for 5 or 6 hours and have no ghosting. I just stepped outside and put on the glasses and looked up at the stars. No ghosting. It seems to start after an hour or more of wearing the specs.
No there are so many possible causes it would be just guessing which is not what what we want to do.

I have a similar problem, though a very bright light like the full moon will give me 2 ghost images. one above and one below. If I put the glasses away for, say 10 or 12 hours, the ghosts go away and don't return for several hours after I put them back on.
Like the previous fellow, the glasses have been remade and the ghosts are now directly below and above in very high contrast situations. Any guesses?
I have never experienced anything like this with or without glasses to correct astigmatism.
These are some causes: wrong prescription, manufacturing problems, optical abberations from the lens, eye disease such as cataracts or corneal irregular astigmatism.
