Glaucoma after Vitrectomy

Hello,
I got operated for retinal detachment 1.5 years ago and silicon oil has been filled in. Recently my doctor said that the IOP has increased and he also gave few eye drops. He also said that slight emulsification of the oil has caused this. There is also start of cataract formation. I understand that every patient is unique and treatment varies from patient to patient. Still just to get a general idea I want to ask the following questions:

1. Will I need any operation for Glaucoma?
2. After emulsification does the oil needs removal?
3. After how much time the silicone oil is removed from the day emulsification starts?
4. How much time after the surgery it generally takes for the oil to begin emulsification?
5. Can the oil be removed while performing cataract surgery or a separate operation is needed?
6. Can silicon oil remain in the eye for entire life?

Sorry for too many questions but I am concerned because of 3-4 things happening simultaneously.

Thanks in advance.
- Gauri.

They had told me oil removal i wont take to much.
Mine took more cos I did cataracts together. But  oil was not causing me problems, just the cataracts was already bad enough for.
My IOP was always ok, til now, mercifully this remains.
Good Luck!
