How do you treat Blepharitis ?

How do you treat Blepharitis ?
And I dont mean by going to the doctor because all they tell you is to clean it and use an ointment or eye drops. I have already done that. My problem is the fact that it is difficult for me to put anything under my eyelids mainly cotton buds. At the moment all Im doing is trying to rub the ointment into my eye ,but not easy cause they are very sensitive. Any help would be appreciated. Also there are contradictions like some people saying to clean them you must use eucalyptus oil , but thats stupid and would sting your eyes. Chemicals make eyes sting.
Also how do you do warm compresses on it ?

There are a few types of blepharitis.  Treatment includes warm compress, lid hygiene (I like the Ocusoft products--baby shampoo does not work as well and can cause problems).  I have my patient wet and fold a paper towel and put it in the microwave to heat it.  Put this over the closed eyelid and repeat for total of about 5 minute.  Then clean the lids with Ocusoft.   Do this in the morning and at night until it gets better then reduce to once a day then a few times per week.  Make sure the paper towel is not too hot.

Ive had the same problems for 20 years tried heat compresses ,diluted babe shampoo on cotton buds but ive finally found a product what helps alot, about 90% better, you will never completly get rid of it,due to allergens in the air,i.e pollution, gases, pollen, food will always irritate your eyes.
I found CASTOR OIL,PURE 100% COLD PRESSED ,has to be this one,not diluted with something else, wash your face and eyes warm water dry, then dip cotton bud in this oil and rub on the lids, making sure you get right to the edge of lids to the eye by pulling down and lifting lids, found it has a soothing feel instantly ,get better as time goes on,found better to do this before you go to bed,you will wake up alot better not dry or sore..some people put a drop in each eye which works for dry eye,i tried this but found it just bit strong for my eyes, works perfect for sore lids tho also found my eyes got alot whiter, after few days, and my eyelashes look fuller, its also takes away dark circles under eyes, try rubbing some under eye before bed wow you will see difference in morning, one other thing I found at first it soothed my lids but felt abit sore like numbish at first, but got better as days went by.this is down to oil penetrating the inflammation of eye lids.Trust me this best thing Ive ever used in 20 years
