I have had MPNST onmy optic nerves

I am 34 yrs old. When I was 20 I had a Sinus Tumor called a Myxoma and had a craniotomy for it to be removed. and when I was 29 I was diagnosed with a Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor. It was
wrapped around my Optic Nerves and Coratid Arteries as well as in my Sinus region. How typical is it for after Surgury to start experiencing lazy eye on the eye affected.

No at present there is no way to ressurect dead optic nerve. Someday maybe, don't lose hope. Work to keep what vision you have free from disease and injury.

I had brain surgery in December 2011 to have a 1 cm meningioma removed that was lodged between my eyes.  Due to the compression of the tumor on my optic nerve, I lost eyesight in my left eye.  For a while it improved somewhat, enabling me to see outlines and color.  Since June my eyesight has gotten darker, and now I don't see anything.  My neuroophtalmalogist says that my optic nerve is dead.  Can my eyesight be restored by stem cell replacement, and are there any clinical trials available to remedy this type of problem  I am very healty otherwise.  Please let me know.

Optic nerve sheath tumors vary so much in size, location and growth patterns that it is impossible to generalize. Your surgeon will be in the best position to advise you
