I need Help. Constant Sparkles in my eyes

Okay here is a list of my symptoms:
I have sparkles in my eyes, similar the broadcasting static, only they are colored (mostly blue, yellow, & white)
I have had them since around the age of 5 (I am now 19) and they are constantly visual.
When I was younger they were centralized in the middle of my vision but have since spread to my whole eye.
They have progressively become more prominent through the past couple of years.
My retinas do not have any cuts or tears.
When I close my eyes I see multiple colors moving in a pattern similar to that of fireworks only much slower like a rhythmic pulse (best I can describe it).
I have no pain around my eyes and I occasionally get migraines.
They are not disrupting my field of vision, it seems they make up what I am seeing like a grainy movie.

It was brought to my attention that I was possibley experiencing ocular migraines, however, after researching the phenomina I have found that the symptoms are in fact similar but the frequency and location differ.

I know that its a lot to read but if anybody has any ideas that would be great.
Thank You!

I'm 14 years old and have been expirencing a similar phenomena but with a few different things mibe has eye pain, flashed of light in both of my eyes, and hallucinations I'm not sure what's causing this but it's freaky I've told my parents but they think I'm a hypochondriac and i over exaggerate things but I don't, just need some ideas what this could be cause it honestly scared me here's an example i was home alone the. Other day and I swear in the corner of my eye i saw my sister but i rubed my eyes and double checked no one was there the sparkles are constant haven't stoped and the sudden flashed of light are random if any one has a clue let me know

You're very young and at an age where weird things and sensations just happen in relation to puberty.  However, if you're having what you think might really be hallucinations, it would be a good idea to talk to a doc about it.  Do you have a family doctor you like?  If so, you can tell your parents you don't feel well and ask to see the doctor.  Once there, you can ask to speak privately and ask for advice.

I too have had similar phenomena with my vision during the day i see little white dots in the air and at night it gets worse and when i look at things they disappear and turn into little green and pink dots. it is quite frightening when it gets dark and i look down at my body and some of it isnt there anymore. i asked a friend if he would go in a darkened room with me to check this out and i looked at my hand which disappeared into thin air and asked him if it was still there and he said yes there must be something wrong with your eyes. this has been happening a few years now but i never thought about seeing a doctor as i put it down to ecstasy use and didnt think much could be done also i wasnt sure the strangeness of the visual sensation wasnt down to something more than a sight problem, like a blip in the matrix of life or something without wanting to get to deep into the make up of our existance. who do you think i should see about this issue and do you think anything can be done to my eyes or brain if this is in fact the problem?

I was surprised, but pleasantly so when I closed my eyes (my fingers were pressing down on my lids) when I saw an explosion of colour.  Blue, pink, red and yellow.  almost like a fireworks display or like the hundreds and thousands (sprinkles) one would find on the icing of a cake.  Gradually the display faded leaving only the Blue sparkles.  They faded too.  I then experiened seeing different patterns (mostly yellow and red) moving rapidly.  I actually enjoyed the sensation and tried it again.  I can only achieve this by pressing down on my eyelids with my fingers. I don't think it's harmful, I don't suffer from headaches and I only recently started wearing readers. (I.m 50 :-( ).  I found the experience fascinating, my own firework display with colours so vibrant!!

See a neuroophthalmologist. Given how long you've had them its not likely anything that threatens your sight as long as nothing changes. Migraine variant or entopic phenomena would be very high on the list of possiblities

My guess is that any MD will brush that off as "entopic phenomena"[which is the fancy term for: I have no clue and can't explain it] or SVP ("subjective" visual problem), or like you said, occular migrane.

I got visual static too (mostly in dim lights, and it's not color).  Many call it visual snow, but I believe that's slightly different (like snow on a steady screen, not a screen with moving pixels).  Some will probably say its in the visual cortex (part of brain that interprets the signals from the eyes), or others an occular problem.  Probably can be either depending on the underlaying cause obviously.   In my case, most likely retinal.
