Irlen Syndrome

I think I have Irlen Syndrome. It's getter more and more difficult to read, especially my computer monitor. I have a lot of light sensitivity and have had the visual "static" or "snow" all my life.

Has anyone had experience with Irlen Syndrome?

Thanks

I suspect i have it to. 30 mins on a computer and im asleep and really achy and bright lights stress me out.

found 1 page about it with an excellent colour scheme.

I would say if this page http://windwardsea.us/Accessibility/IrlenSyndrome.htm is fine to read then you may need to see a irlen specialist.

I do suffer with this myself.  For using a monitor there is a program call screen tinter.  It can change the colour of a word document so you can see the words easier.

It is a free download which you can find here:

Hope this helps.

It is also known as visual stress syndrome. Or Scotopic sensitivity syndrome. There is a lot of info on the internet. I have trouble reading, especially on the computer screen. The letters seem almost to vibrate. And reading makes me very tired.  My eyes are extremely sensitive to light. Driving at night is very difficult. I see everything through "static." Like an old television only more subtle. My dept perception is not good - I'm always bumping my fingers into things when I reach for something, and bumping my toes into things and when I'm walking, and I trip a lot.
