Is it Glaucoma?

Hi Doctor

i had a cataract surgery in both eyes after the surgery my vision improved, just after the surgery i noticed blurred side vision things became out of focus when im not looking at them when im focusing i can see black lining at the corner or sides of my eyes i dont know how to explain this but when im sitting next to someone im unable to see the entirely person sometimes  if im walking i would see someone walking infront of me without seeing him passing next to me this ia very scary thing

i've done a visual field tes the resuls prove the statement above  my eye pressure was normall the picture taken inside my eye was also ok , ive got astigmatism but im not sure to what extent

is it glaucomma ? or is it something else

I'm sorry I cannot give you "the answer", my original advice still stands. See a neuroophthalmologist.

Im 29 years i have done catarct surgery on both eyes before the surgery i used to wear these thick glasses and still my vision was not good,After the surgery the results were good i could see without glasses and i was smiling  because i started wearing glasses when i was 9yrs

After the surgery i noticed that there was something wrong with my side Vision
1i could'nt see clearly with my sides there was this blurry image if i want to see clearly i had to move my eyes to that direction or turn my head when i move my eyes to the other sde the other side becomes out of focus

2.a black line on my sides i first noticed it when i was reading this black thing came forward as i was trying to read when i move my eyes to the side trying to see what it is it just disappeared. sometimes when i notice it i just pull the skin near my eyes  backwards and it will disappear

3 after the surgery i experienced some halos around the lights they looked like feathers i explained these things to my doctor he said i should do a Yag laser

After the yag laser the hallos looked like a star (starburst) they were no longer looked like feathers

on the other side my left eye was not  as good as my right eye after the surgery i was +3 on my left and +1 on my right eye

My doctor examined me he said there was a gap on my left eye off which he can put a piggy back or perform a lasik on my left eye at the end i ended up choosing lasik but i couldnt see any differnce after the lasik. and i was still complaining about starbust, the shade on my side vision

Regarding my starburst i only saw them after the Yag laser and they never went away since My doctor checked me and he said there is a chip or crack in my lense (or me to undersstand he made an example with the wind screen when it is hit  by a stone an leaves a crack on it) he said the starburst its not the end of the world he can give me glasses to Mask that

for my side vision i went to do a test where you look on the object and press a button when you see a light.  the results came and showed that i was telling the truth regarding my side vision  then my doctor said i need to do the test again as he didnt believe the results i waited for about a month  and i didnt another test but my doctor was'nt there to explain the results to me
my main problem is my side vision it irritates me a lot im even afraid to drive because i might miss something
sometimes i even suspect that maybe because i have astigmatism maybe the lense only covered certain part of my eye

How can we fix these problems its all that i think about these dayz some people believe tha it could be glaucoma some people say its just the Stigma of the eye i dont know wat to do my doctor is overseas not sure when he will be back  Please help

Something else. Ask your surgeon to refer you to a neuroophthalmologist. NOTE: If they cannot find a cause ask your neurosurgeon to consider "dysphotopsia due to the IOL" especially if you have a multifocal IOL. I am in a study with physicians from the U of Kansas on just such symptoms caused by IOL.

If your work up is negative and it is attributed to the IOL and you would like to be in our study contact my office.
