Just got Corneal Ulcer

Hey guys, this is my first post. I'm an 18 year old male (if that information helps).

I was just diagnosed with corneal ulcer on Wednesday morning. The last time I used a contact was on Monday afternoon so that's probably the case where the problem started. I'm kicking myself at my stupidity and carelessness. I went to a ophthalmologist on Wednesday and learned that I had corneal ulcer. Shortly after I was prescribed two eye drops called  Cefazolin and Tobramycin alternating both eyedrops 30 minutes after 30 minutes. I asked my doctor what's the best case scenario and she said my vision will come back only 80% which ate my soul and made me angry at myself. I wanted more opinions and more confirmation if this true and more help with questions I have. I have a few questions that I hope you guys can answer.

1. How long does corneal ulcer take to heal?
2. What can I do to speed up the healing process or make the process heal me better?
3. After treating corneal ulcer, does one's vision come back normally or is it hindered?
4. After learning that my vision will probably not come back 100%, I looked into LASIK eye surgery. I've read a few topics about 18 being a bit risky since my eye prescription is constantly changing. Can I get more opinion/answers on LASIK?

1. Corneal ulcers can be minor and heal in 24 hrs or cause loss of eye. Too much difference to generalize.
2. Only your ophthalmologist can tell you, all I can say is follow the eye MDs direction.

I cannot give you individual prognosis or treatment.

At the pace I'm at right now, I can definitely see progress in my eye healing. Vision is still cloudy but it's slowly starting to come back. Tuesday morning was the first day I had corneal ulcer (Wednesday was day I was diagnosed). Judging from your patients that have had corneal ulcer, have your patient's vision fully healed back to normal or have the majority of them had  hindered vision due to corneal ulcer?

Oh I meant a 2nd opinion from you instead of the doctor I'm currently visiting :P

Then ask for a 2nd opinion, I'm never offended if a patient or their family wants one and I use 2nd opinions very very frequently.

So far it's been 2 days and my right eye's vision is still cloudy, yet its improving little by little. I believe my doctor told me the corneal ulcer was directly in the center of my pupil when I was first diagnosed. After putting drops in my eye for the first night, she told me my corneal ulcer is starting to fade away.

Hopefully that gives you a bit more information in order to answer my 1 and 2. Would prefer a second opinion besides my doctors!

4. On properly selected individuals lasik is a fantastic procedure. For others its not an option. Again only an Eye Md that examines you eye can tell fo sure.
