Lentis Mplus

I had Mplus lenses fitted in both eyes some 6 and 8 weeks ago.  The right eye is fine, good long range sight and reading fine in good light, but need 1.5 reading glasses in poor light.  Although everything seemed ok for first 2 weeks, the left eye is now beset with slight distortions at all ranges.  It's a bit like looking through very very slightly frosted glass, looking at a vertical pole such as a telegraph pole, with the right eye closed, appears as if it is not straight but very slightly s shaped.  Looking at a computer is difficult and at times i feel i ave to blink in an effort to clear vision?  My eye doctor feels that my retina may be slightly bruised and I am putting in Acular eye drops 4 times a day for 6 weeks.  However, after nearly 3 weeks there seems to be no improvement.  An other ideas of what might be the problem?  I go back to see the eye surgeon in 3 weeks

I also had the Mplus lenses put in. March 2012. Both eyes were operated on about 3 weeks apart. I was very lucky in that my surgeries went very smoothly both times and I was suprised and delighted that I could see so well the next day. I actually don't even have glasses anymore. The only downside is that I can clearly see all my wrinkles now! Was happily unaware before how old I look!

The reason I am replying to you is that my son works at a university and he did a lot of research before we went ahead with the surgery. We knew that there could be complications and we also knew that sometimes you can notice some disturbances with multifocal lenses. My son contacted a Harley Street Optician and was told that the Mplus is definitely the best implant available. 4 out of 5 multifocal implants in England are Mplus. So I was very reassured and I am so glad I chose a multifocal and don't need reading glasses. I can see pretty much everything, computer, prices at ASDA, TV, how fast I am going in the car.

So hang in there and I hope that your retina bruise settles down.
