Help, please. This issue has been going on for about a year now. I have high health anxiety. One day I noticed floaters and became concerned about a brain tumor. I thought “well at least I don’t have double vision.” That same day, I noticed objects that were up close were blurred, but not really double. I became even more worried. I noticed that when looking at objects up close, the objects in the background would be blurred/double. Example—someone is sitting in front of me. I either have to focus on their head or focus on what’s in front of them. Whatever I’m not focusing on is blurred/double. Things in the distance are just fine. It’s only on up close objects, or mid distance. A little more than an arm length away. Or, I have bird pop on my windshield. If I’m not focusing on it, it’s double. But I can refocus and make it a singular object again, but what’s in the background becomes blurry/doubles. I’m assuming it’s binocular in nature bc closing one eye helps. This is why I’m concerned about a brain tumor. About 7 months before I noticed the vision issue (and maybe it’s been longer than a year and I never realized it?), I had an mri and neuro appt and it was fine. This was due to some vision concerns at that time. Was send to an ophthalmologist and was diagnosed with an optic nerve drusen. I am so concerned about a brain tumor and the fact this has been going on for almost a year.
