Lump on eye after retinal reattachment surgery

I had a scleral buckle surgery with cryo and laser to correct a partially detached retina in my left eye about two and half weeks ago.  My eye is still quite red obviously, but just in the past few days I've noticed a lump forming on that repaired eye.  The lump is just off to the left side of the pupil, but is directly in the center of the eye on the horizontal axis.  It is not painful and I can not tell that the lump is there except for when I am looking at the eye in a mirror.  I have a normal follow up scheduled with the doctor who performed the surgery in three and a half weeks, but I was wondering if this could be something serious enough to necessitate seeing her sooner.

Thanks for any advice that can be provided; I think I'm just a little paranoid about the eye recovering properly

Just call your doctor's office and ask them this very question. You'll get a better answer that way than asking here on the forum.
