Moles and Eye Pressure

I went to the opticians last week for a routine eye test as I was experiencing recurring headaches. My prescription of my lenses didn't change but after examing the back of my eyes the optician told me that I had a mole on the back of each eye and I would need to come back for dialation. I went back yesterday and they measured the pressure in my eyes with a puff test and they said that they could not dialate me as the reading in my eyes was too high, it was 26 in my left eye and 20 in my right. They did the test 6 times on each eye.

Is it normal to suddening have two moles on the back of each eye, I could understand one eye but why is there one on each, is this normal?  I only had a test last summer and the moles were not picked up then. Also why is the reading in my eyes high, is this too high in general or just too high for them to dialate me? Are the two connected?

Thanks, oh and I don't know if it matters but I'm 27.

Many thanks Doctor. I am in the UK and our GPs will not refer without a note from the Opticians. Guess that I will see this through with the Opticians and see what they suggest. Just hope that all this is nothing to be too concerned about!

Thanks again

You need to get out of the optician's care and get to a real Eye MD physician ophthalmologist. Ask your GP to refer you to one as soon as possible. Both the pressure and the moles need a real eye physician not a limited training optometrist/optician.
