NAION .. still no treatment options?
I can't find anything on the web, doesn't look like anything has changed in 20 years ? I was diagnosed with NAION in m y right eye in July of 2013. About 50% field of vision loss (entire bottom half) and then the inner ring near the nose which hurts central acuity quite a bit.
I'm only 36, never smoked, blood pressure is normal. The only risk factor I have is diabetes, but that is well controlled (A1C 5.8%) no one can figure out why this happened to me. No cardio issues in family history either, I am on an asprin regimen at nighttime now, is there nothing else I can do? I've accepted that the vision is gone forever but am terrified of it happening in my other eye.
