NUMMULAR KERATITIS

I went for LASIK 4 years ago. Last november 2009, my right eye infected with conjuctivitis. Due to that, my right eye suffer with a problem called NUMMULAR KERATITIS with blurring vision. I on steroid, FLAREX about 1 month plus with dosage 4 times a week, 3 times a week, then 2 times finally 1 times for 1 week. I was very happy because my vision become clear. But the wonderful vision only last for 1 month and the nummular reoccur. I had another same intensive treatment with the same dosage of steroid and again its only last for 1 month. My question... can I just apply an artificial tears as often as I can?? I manage to be patient because i heard it will takes a month or maybe a year to recover... I dont want to use steroid anymore bacause physiologically i have large optic disk..i dont wat to take risk of using steroid. May I have your opinion??
