Narrow ended

3 months ago, I had a laser treatment in my left eye for a diabetic retinopathy. I went recently to hv. a check up and was told that I am narrow angled but no glaucoma and advised to take an iridectomy. I wander why I was not told before. Is it serious or can wait. My vision and pressure is normal and my eyes are big.

Thanking you.

Thank you for your con,d support.

The DR. found uncorrected visual acuity of 20/50 OU. The anterior segment exam. was benign. Intraocular pressures were 12 OU. Gonioscopy indeed demonstrated narrow angle in both eyes with bare slit approaches over the superior 270 degrees in each eye that opened with indentation to the scleral spur. The angles were a bit more open inferiorly (to the trabecular meshwork)

I certainly agree with you that I hv. anatomically narrow angles that reaquire LI.

What I am asking is am I at imminent risk or I can go back next Year.

Thanking you in anticipation.

kind regards,

It is serious and it should be done. Narrow angles develop slowly and can be difficuolt to recognize
