Check out Horizon Eye Care. It is a large group practice with multiple offices in and around the Charlotte area, so there is bound to be a location near you. There main office is located in the Cotswald area. All three of the vireo-retinal specialists, Drs. Weidman, Rouse, and Ridley, are excellent!!! I've been a patient of each at various times throughout the past 2 years. Visit www.horizoneye.com for more info.
I have been followed by Dr. Farr at the Retina Institute in Charlotte for 2 years. I have the wet kind which needs injections in the eye. I think he is great and my eyes have responded well to the treatment. Sounds like you have the dry kind. You are lucky since that moves more slowly. You can email Dr. Farr with your questions, I often do. He is very sweet. His email address is ***@****. Good luck and stay dry!

You can go to the website www.aao.org and find one. You can use the search feature and archives to look at the many other discussions about ARMD and what can be done to slow it down.
