Pigment Epithelium Disturbances?

I read my doctor's report that he wrote (that was 1,5 years ago) and he mentioned something about "pigment epithelium disturbances" in the right macula. What does that mean? Is it early stage of macula degeneration?

The reason i'm asking this, i started to see (right eye) a very small black "thing" (not exactly a dot) like a shadow that appears after closing my eyes (or sitting in a dark room) for few minutes and disappears gradually in 1-2 seconds. The more my eye stays in dark more it becomes noticable (darker). Otherwise i dont have loss of vision, including the area of black spot. It's close to center of my vision or in the center, cant be sure.

I'm myopic and had 4 retinal detachments (2 in right eye and 2 in left) fully treated now. 80/100 in both eyes. And i also have glaucoma in both eyes. Using Cosopt.

I'll see my doctor next Friday but i'm starting to worry about it and want to find some answers untill then.

Thanks for the reply.

Now i believe my problem is related to something else. (I know i still need it checked, you cant tell people exactly whats wrong from here. I'm only asking for opinions.)

And i no longer had photopsia after starting to see that little thing i described above. So im still wondering what it could be.

Your pigment epithelial disturbance could be from your past retinal detachments or from nothing more than high myopia. Ask your doctor about the photopsias you are noticing.

By the way, before that occured, i was seeing very tiny purple dot-like flashes (like 2-3 times a day) on that exact same spot of black thing.

Also i'm %100 sure that it's not a floater. I have lot of them for years and know how they look like. That thing isnt moving anyway.
