One eye appears smaller

I'm a 17 year old  female, and recently i noticed that my left eye is much smaller than the right eye.  It has never been this way before but for the past 4 monthes i have been going tanning very often.   I wear goggle while i go tanning, however, i still feel as tho the radiation from the tanning bed is affecting my eye vision.  Also, i own glasses and they never made a difference in my vision at all but recently i have noticed that when my glasses are on there is a big difference from when they are not.  ... is tanning the problem?

Tanning is not good for the sking, causes it to age and wrinkle faster and may increase the risk of skin cancer.

It will not change the size of the eye. that is usually due to the eyelid drooping (ptosis).

You need to see an ophthalmologist. When you go in take several full face photos that show your eyelid position taking3-5 years ago.

DO not let the staff put any drops in your eye till the Eye MD ophthalmologist looks at the position of your eye. Find an Eye MD near you at www.aao.org or ask your family MD to refer you.
