Optical Steroids - Blurred Vision

Dear Doctors,

In the past, I've had problems using optical steroids.  Alrex caused blurred distance vision, and now Durezol has done the same.  Both have caused this problem within 24-48 hours of usage and the blurriness takes a long time (2 weeks) to subside.

Is this common?  Or, what would be the mechanism that causes blurred vision in my eyes, but rarely in others?  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Steroid eye drops are very potent especially the durezol. Side effects can include steroid glaucoma.

Get out the package insert or information from the pharmacist. It will list literally scores of possible complications.

You need to discuss this with the doctor that wrote the RX
