Pain and blurred vision after sedation

Hi,

I was sedated for a colonoscopy this morning,  when I work up after the procedure
my left eye was hurting.  I thought I was just tired so I did not give much thought to it.

Now later in the day, my eye is painful to the touch,  I feel like I have something in
my eye when I move it around.  My vision is blurry if I block my right eye.  My eye
is tearing and the pain gets worse if I cry.  The inside of my eye is not red or
irritated.   I called an Opthamologist and I have an appointment in the morning but
I am trying to figure out what is going on.  Just weird to wake up with pain.

They did not find anything wrong with my eye. They told me to get a good night sleep and rest the eye in the dark with no light in the room. They felt maybe something hit my eye during the procedure.  The pain went away after two days. Hope your eye feels better.

I had a colonoscopy this morning and woke up with the same problem. What did your Ophthalmologist say it was? How long did it last?

You might have gotten a corneal abrasion.  Tape you eye shut it may heal by morning.
