Rainbow halos and starburst

I have been experiencing halos for the last two months, but recently (within the last 2 weeks) I am seeing a rainbow ring around headlights and lamppost.
I have my eyes examined by a retina specialist two months ago, and all was fine. I planning on making another appointment with hi. But I’m so scared.
Does the fact that it’s equal in both eyes have any relevance? My pressure was checked at his office and it was within normal range. He also ran an oct and a test with dye. He took additional photos as well and inspected my retina thoroughly with dialation.
Could this be a serious retinal disease? I’m so sick over this.

Do you have cataracts?  It sounds like you had a thorough retinal exam, and in my experience retinal specialists often defer to other specialists when examining your eyes for cataract development.

Yes you would be well served to see a comprehensive Eye MD for refraction and glasses testing, perhaps cornea topography to be sure you irregular astimatism. Most retina Eye MDs do not do glasses tests or spend much time on the front of the eye.
Thanks. Do halos and starburst generally indicate and issue with the front of the eye? Or can they also come from retinal issues?
Usually front of eye, cornea or lens or refractive error
