Raised brown spots on my eye

Hello. In just the last two hours I began to experience some discomfort with my right eye. It ached as if I had slept with my contacts in (I haven't worn them for 2 days).

Then it felt like I had something stuck in my eye. I looked in the mirror in the car but didn't see anything. When I got home I used my flashlight and looked in the mirror. As I moved closer to the mirror I saw two very small brown spots close together - one directly beneath my pupil and another down and to the right.

This discomfort just started today and there have been no spots on my eye before.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Sorry I can't get the picture to open. You can try artificial tears, commercial eye irrigating fluid and oral pain pills.

Thanks for the input.

I'm inclined to think it is foreign material. It has become very uncomfortable (it feels somewhat scratchy when I close my eyes - I don't know how I'll sleep tonight) and there are two dots.

The only thing is I didn't do anything that would expose me to foreign material that could get in my eye. The only thing I can think of is an incident that occurred more than two weeks ago. Is it possible for a foreign object to be present in the eye but not be known and then work its way out over time (two weeks).

I have a picture...

I made an appointment for tomorrow.

Thanks again

1. It could be foreign material on your cornea. 2. You may just be seeing a small iris freckle for the first time.

If a problem tomorrow go in to see the ophthalmologist or optometrist that fit your contact lens.
