Headaches due to glasses

I had a bad bout of food poisoning one week ago, and during that time a had a good 10 min bout of vomiting. It was intense and the pressure in my head was great. I had moments where I saw lines or stars from the pressure. Afterwards I did feel some pressure in my eyes, and the next day it appeared to have gone.

Typically during the days I wear my contacts and switch to my glasses in the evening for comfort and proper eye care. However, now when I put on my glasses I get pressure over my eyes like I'm straining and eventually headaches and dizziness after a few hours. When wearing my contacts I have 1/10 of these symptoms and typically not bothered. My GP stated that I had hurt my neck and the pressure I feel is directly related. When I asked about the glasses they mentioned that light is dispersed greater into the eyes with glasses than contacts. I have not noticed any vision loss throghout this ordeal.

My question is could I have strained some eye muscles during exertion and I'm feeling these symptoms greater when wearing my glasses? My neck does hurt below my cranium and on both sides but couldn't be a direct affect of my eye strain? What are your thoughts on this?

Do you feel pressure only in your eyes or in your head? particularly at side of your head and also a certain heavy feeling in between you eyes. i suggest you observe it for a couple of this but if it really bothers you you better see your doctor to make sure.

wretching can cause broken blood vessels in and on the eye but it does not strain the eye muscles.

suggest you see the ophthalmologist or optometrist that fit your contacts and glasses for a evaluation.
