Recovery time -- cataract surgery

In general, what is the typical recovery time from cataract surgery?

And the time period to complete the operation.

Right on.
Accurate comment,
Nice to be "typical".

Plan on three to four hours at the surgery center for prep, surgery, and post op.   The surgery itself takes 20 to 30 minutes.  Afterwards, I recommend a few days chilling at home.  You will probably have a pretty intense eye drop regimen for several weeks.  You will have a post op exam the day after and a follow up a week later, perhaps more.  If you need a new glasses prescription, it may take several weeks before you can get a good refraction for an accurate prescription.  Best wishes.
