Residual oil bubble after silicon oil removal

My father got his silicon oil removed after 6 months of his vitrectomy surgery. Now when he looks down, he sees a tick black O ring which is transparent from inside. My questions are

1. will it desolve automatically after some time? If yes, how much time it can take?

2. After 2 weeks of oil removal, my father is not feeling any eye site improvement. Would it remain the same or there are chances to have improved vision after 2 weeks of oil removal?

Probably not dissolve.   May drop to the bottom or side of the eye where he can't see it.  2.  Surgery requiring oil in the eye is desperate surgery and normal vision is usually not re-established and it could easily be 6-12 months before the final visual result is known.

Hi....my daughter recently had oil placed in the right eye to try and save the retina from being detached again..and she lost vision in the left one due to retinal detachment.. She is only five..how long until she starts to see something in the right one
Oil is placed in the eye only with the most difficult to treat retinal detachments.  these cases are all very unique and the prognosis guarded. It is not possible to generalize about how they will heal or how much vision will return. You should discuss frankly with her eye surgeons the prognosis. It is likely she will need special education for the visually impaired.  EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO GET REALISTIC EXPECTATION FROM THE SURGEONS AND ASK ABOUT SPECIAL EDUCATION/SERVICES FOR VISUALLY CHALLENGED MAY NEED IN NEAR FUTURE.
