SInce Dr. Richard Hertle is on leave of absence

Hello~ My daughter is 3 yrs old and was scheduled for her 3rd Nystagmus surgery this week but since Dr. Hertle is on leave we were cancelled. He gave us a name of Dr. Edward Wilson at the Storm Eye Clinic in South Carolina. We live in Louisiana but we have traveled to Pittsburgh to see Dr Hertle because we thought him to be the best! Any new on Dr Wilson or about when Dr. Hertle may return. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I've met a family whose son had the surgery from Dr. Wilson and had no complaints. I met Dr. Wilson as a consult for my son who had the surgery from Dr. Hertle.

My son had surgery with Dr. Wilson almost 2 years ago when he was 3.  We had gone to Dr. Hertle several times before and he gave Dr. Wilson the precise information to use for the surgery.   We are from SC so PA was quite a stretch for us to get to.  We loved Dr. Wilson and have continued to go see him since.  We will see him again in March.  Do you know what happened to Dr. Hertle?  Is he going to another office?

Dr Hertle performed surgery twice on my daughter, since I live in Philadelphia and he's in Pittsburgh I requested an emergency contact at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia.  He gave me the name of Dr. William Anninger, http://www.chop.edu/doctors/anninger-william.html, he was trained by Dr. Hertle in Ohio.  I have met him and he has treated my daughter I highly recommend him.

I don't know if you have found Dr Hertle.....Dr Hertle also operated on my son twice and he is the best! I have also been looking for him and I found him!! He is at Akron Childrens Hospital, the information is below;
