This is after surgery last September where they 3 hours fixing the eye with the gas bubble. That didn't take. November another 3 hour operation to reattach, remove the lens and put silicon oil in the eye. Then in february take out the oil. April put in a lens.
Yes both the retinal detachment and/or the surgery itself can cause double vision, the eyes not lining up or distorted vision.

As a veteran of five attachment surgeries, I think it may be the gas bubble in your eye that is creating the distortion. Usually, you should ask your surgeon directly about your concerns. Follow up the answer that you will get in a while with a call/visit with your surgeon, if you have other questions. Make a list.
I believe we can safely answer this one, but wait until the doctor comes on.
