Scleral Buckle

I am now seven weeks post op.  I had buckle with gas bubble.Things seem to be going well.  However I have developed a severe throbbing pain in the eye.  The pain is not constant comes and goes it feels as if someone is pulling at my eye from behind the eye and it hurts to touch the eye. It hasn't hurt to touch the eye since about 4 weeks post op. My vision in the eye does not seem to have gotten any worse.

my question is is this something I need to worry about or just a normal part of the healing process.  I am not currently using any drops.  I do have a history of high pressure in the effected  eye.

Anytime things get worse there is cause for concern and re-evalustion. I would recommend calling your surgeon and discussing whether you need to come in for a check.

i had scleral buckle as well.  for me surgery pains went away after 3 to 4 months.  i had throbbing pain that comes and goes where the buckle was placed and relied on prescription pain killer.  your doctor should be closely monitoring you.
