Seeing a shadow sort of an image above an inanimate object.

So apparently, when I’m looking at something a shadow sort of a thing is appearing ABOVE that object. It doesn’t happen all the time. But it happens sometimes. It appears when I have both my eyes open. When I cover my right eye, the shadow decreases or almost disappears. Any suggestions or something? I have a slight cylindrical power in both my eyes and wear reading glasses for that. Also, the pencil push ups. What could be the cause? Also, a treatment which could be done at home? Provided if it’s  serious.

It is rarely serious and doesn't deserve any treatment. There are multiple posts of this observation here. The causes include needing glasses, improperly fitting glasses, contact lens problems, cornea problems including dry eyes and in older patients cataracts and macular problems.
