Strange sensation in eye

Hello there. I suffer with dry eye syndrome and blepharitis. Last night after inserting dry eye eye drops into my eyes I got a strange uncomfortable sensation in one of them. This lasted all night. I am just wondering if perhaps something harmful got in or if this is just symptomatic of my dry eye/blepharitis conditions?

The most likely explanation would be that in putting in the eyedrops you touched your cornea and made a  tiny abrasion. If you are still uncomfortable you should call your opthalmologist or optometrist. There is a wealth of information on this forum about dry eyes and blepharitis which you can access using the search feature.

I have severe dry eye and used to get pain behind my eye.  It was occipital neuralgia.  It's a nerve that runs along the scalp and continues behind the eye.  I used pressure at the bottom of my skull in the back and it eventually went away.  I found that remedy online.  That might be what's causing your pain.
