Swollen Eye Lids

My left eye is very swollen and it appears to be a blocked tear duck, However I have been to see two Opthamologist, eye doctor, and Allergy doctor, and General Medicine doctor. No one has been able to figure this one out. It is at its worse i the Morning when I wake up. The eye lid is full of fluid, which looks like my tears . It drains slowly throughout the day and fills back up over night. I've taken antibiotics, Steroid drops, ointments . Nothing has worked. I thought it was allergies because the exact same thing happened to me last year and it lasted for 2 months and went away on its own. I don't want to go through another two months of this agony. Has anyone experienced this? Any other suggestions? The eye itself is perfectly healthy, no redness or irratation. My eyelid does itch constantly though. Please help..

Thanks for your reponse Dr. O That is my next plan. I don't know what it is. THe opthamologist said he didn't thikn it was . Now both eyes are swelling over night while I sleep. My face is broke out with a rash of some type and the skin on my face itches allot around  outer surface of the eye area. No irratation at all inside my eyes. I has been 6 weeks straight now. The doctor has me taking antihistimine drops ( Pataday)  in my eyes, Omnaris Nasal Spray and , Zyrtec by mouth. No relief in a week and a half so far. My upper eyelids are now red and irratated all the time.  I was thinking Oculo plastic Surgeon or Dermatologists as my only remaining options, I have been to all others including allergy doctor and ENT .

Why do you think it is a blocked tear duct?  You are providing too little information for me to comment.  You might consider seeing an oculo-plastic surgeon.  They treat blocked tear ducts.

Dr. O.
