posted my question in the wrong place
The upper inside corners of my eyes are swollen. Have been for over a month. It started on the left side now moved to the right. No discharge or redness but lids are painful. What could it be? Should I be overly concerned, no doctor seems to be.
If the skin is red and hot and she is feverish and seems sick you should contact your pediatrician immediately. If she is well, non-feverish and acting normally she may have gotten an insect sting or inadvertently rubbed some irritant on her lids. In some case a stye starts like this. If there is a single tenderspot on the lid that develops over the next 12-24 hours she may need an antibiotic drop or ointment from you pediatrician or ophthalmologist.
You might try a good shower/bath to remove any irritants from the face and lids. And some ice compresses (ice cubes in a baggy covered by a think hankerchief will do nicely.
Minor things well be better tomorrow. Continue to monitor closesly.
