Hi jcblack,
I would stay away from multifocals.. I cannot say anything about the tenics multifocals, but I had the Restor multi implanted in my left eye and it was a disaster. The multifocals cost a lot of money and they are not all that good. Many problems with them. I had the dreaded Restor explanted and the tecnis monofocal exchanged.
The tecnis monofocal is excellent. I since had the right eye done with the same monofocal tecnis lens both for distance. I can see well distance and intermediate. No light glare. Night driving is excellent. I just need glasses for reading small print. Check the archives on ths forum for multifocal/monofocal. There are some excellent informative and expert posts. Check with more than one eye MD if necessary. Again, stick with the monofocal. I don't think you can go wrong. Good luck.

I'm thinking the multifocals are not perfected. Leaning toward monofocal and wearing reading glasses. What would you recommend?
I have heard good things about it.
Multifocal IOLs are not my first choice.
