Toric IOL

The cataract on my dominant right eye was removed and I got a Toric IOL supposed to correct my distant vision.  On my left eye I will receive a Toric IOL to correct my reading vision.  I have worn mono-vision contacts for about 30 years and am vaery comfortable with them.
The vision on my corrected eye is fuzzy, blurry and miserable.  After my third visit to my Ophtalmologist, it was decided that instead of distand vision, I can only see at intermediate distance.  Dr. S told me that sometimes it is impossible to do the exact and right calculations.  I am extremely frustrated and cannot believe that a calculation can get that wrong.  Could Dr S have implanted the wrong IOL?

"IOL Calculation is not an exact science." That's what I've read somewhere.

The consent from the OMIC for cataract surgery discusses this in detail.  You doctor probably told you that a certain percentage of cases will need a laser touch up to achieve the targeted refraction.
