Whats next? How do I go about normal?

My retina detached had the buckle, went back for my two week check everything was great sent me to my regular eye doctor for prescription.  Went to see him two days later and my retina detached again so now I got the gas bubble.  Went for my one week follow up and said everything is great and thats it.  I told him I sell cars for a living when can I get back to that and he couldnt give me an answer.  Do you guys walk around with a patch?  Just keep one closed?  Or do you try to keep both open?  I feel so lost, like I have all these questions and no answers.  I am only 44 and I am not ready to stay at home.  Does anybody drive themselves?

I asked my doctor and he said I had to keep my head down for at least another week.  Doesnt know when the bubble will go away, and to do what feels right for me.  I go back to him on 12/11 and he gave me paperwork to be ou ofwork till 12/6.  When I ask is there anything I should or shouldnt be doing, he just says tae it easy and do what feels right.  So ver yfrustrated with that answer.

You need to ask your doctor.  Positioning and activities depends on the location of the retinal tear.  Most people can get back to normal activities in 4 to 6 weeks.  Some as soon as 2 weeks.
