An arcus does not affect vision. I would suggest you see an Eye MD to confirm the impression. IF it is an arcus you need a fasting lipid profile.

I'll be 18 in October so I don't think its got to do with age. My Dad has high cholesterol though.
Last time I went to the optometrist she said I had 20/20 vision so it doesn't seem to affect my vision.
It's likely a cornea arcus senilis or aging discoloration of the cornea. If you are younger than 60 it can be associated with high blood cholesterol and it should be measured. Also see an Eye MD to confirm. Go to www.aao.org to find an eye MD near you. Go to Google IMAGES and type in cornea arcus senilis to see what they look like
