Unusual visual phenomenon, detecting air circulation

I do get eye floaters, I know about the blue field effect where you see white dots when looking at a blue sky. This isn't that. It is something I've had for as long as I can remember, and I can't find any sort of specific explanation for it. But I can see my own breath, the same way as when it is cold outside and breath comes out as vapor, only it is clear instead of white. I can see it at all times, at any temperature. I see other's breaths, the air current in the room, the wind, the way it changes with the air pressure before it rains, how the hot air rises, how it swirls around the trunks of trees and churns around a room when the ceiling fan is on. When I hold up my hand and swish it through the air, I can see it interacting with my hand like the way playing with smoke looks. I don't know why this is, and I cannot find many others who seem to have as detailed an experience even when they claim to see something similar. I have 20/20 vision and regularly go in for checkups because my CMTD could affect my eyes but so far my vision hasn't deteriorated and this isn't a new development. It's very strange and I don't know how to begin to talk about it without people assuming I'm on drugs. I'm a very science minded person and so I'm sure there is a very logical explanation but I don't even know where to begin searching for it. Once again, it cannot be an eye floater because those are tiny aspects of the eye itself and do not interact with one's hand or the environment. I am at a loss. It's as if everything is constantly affecting and churning this matrix of clear smoke I can only describe as air. I am an adult man with no history of eye troubles other than my predisposition to potential eye trouble as a result of CMTD or charcotmarie tooth disease.

CMTD has been described as causing eye problems and you can do a internet search for more details. Some of the problems include glaucoma, optic nerve lesions and retinitis pigmentosa like changes. However none of these would cause the symptoms your describe. Your eyes should be checked annually by an Eye MD ophthalmologist and you should tell her/him about your symptoms. Some extra tests such as macula and NFL OCT are indicated as well as visual fields, cornea thickness measurements.  Assuming these are normal and nothing changes or new develops with the eyes I would move on as any treatment is highly unlikely.
