Viagra and Retinitis Pigmentosa

I'm 32 and suffer from Retinitis Pigmentosa.

I recently visited my general practitioner to complain about ED (erectile difficulty). I'm in good health, have normal blood plessure, normal blood work so she wasn't exactly sure what the problem could be.

She suggested taking Viagra tos ee if that "jump started" things. I mentioned to her that I had read somewhere that if you have Retinitis Pigmentosa, viagra (or other ED pills) are not recommended.  She told me she was goign to look into it.

Was just curious if anyone here with RP has taken Viagra or if it is really recommended that someone with RP not take any ED drugs?

Thanks

Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra.  I also have RP and ED.  I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok.  Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.

According to thsi:
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/erectile-dysfunction/MC00029

says it "may not be safe" if you have RP.

I am not aware of Viagra being a contraindication when you have RP.  Google it.
