Focus Problems after Restor Surgery

It is a month after I received a Restor IOC and I am having a problem focusing.   If I look directly at an object, it is not clearly focused.  If I tilt my head down about 15 - 20 degrees while still looking at the object it becomes clearer.  I mentioned this to my surgeon and he said he did not know what would cause this.  Can you please let me know what would casue this?  Thanks

Please use the "search" feature on this website and type in 'multifocal eye implants' and 'Restor implant', they are full of adjustment problems from patients with your type of implant. Note that many patients that are very unhappy with their multifocal implants in the first weeks and months are ultimately "very happy" at  6 to 9 months post surgery.

Check with your eye surgeon soon and make sure that the implant is still well centered.

Good luck

I am aware that I will have clearer views by slightly adjusting the angle at which I look at an object depending on its distance.  However, for both near and distance vision, I am having to almost place my chin on my upper chest to get the clearest view.  If this is the best that I can expect, my chiropractic fees will outweigh the cost and benedfits of the Restor.

You changes in vision with head movement and different eye positions is how your brain and eyes learn to see at different distances through the Restore diffractive intra-ocular implant.

Please use your search feature and read the many comments of Restore implant patients in the eye forums.
