Visual Disturbance concerning me.

Hello I wonder if anyone can relate to my problem on here or offer any advice? I suffer with severe dre eyes and have drops to use regularly for that. About a amonth and a half age I developed a sub conjuctival cyst which was irritating me. Don't think the dry eyes helps. I went to a fast track clinicx at the eye hosp where they did a needle puncture of the cyst. I had had this done once before and it was fine. But this time it was very uncomfortable during anf after and I developed a sub conjuctival hemorrage which looked alarming. As the eye was hurting I went back to the clininc who checked the eye again and said it seemed ago apart from  scratch on the eye surface which they couldn't explain. I think the neddle had caused this, but anyway they said that would heal. The hemorrage cleared after 7-8 days and then a few day later I woke up witht he strangest feeling that my vision had altered. It felt as if I was a bit drunk and things weren't as clear as usual. Most notably was a shadow down ther centre of my vision which I quickly realised was my nose. You know when you move your eyes to look down your noise - well thats how it appeared only I wasn't doing it, if you know what I mean? Anyway I've been back and forth to the docs and saw eye specialist at hosp yesterday who has said apart from the dry eyes and a pingueculum in one eye my eyes are ok. I see this specialist once a year to monitor for glaucoma as I have strong family history and they have found on a previous examination I have two differnt shaped optic discs at the back of the eye which can be an indication of the disease. Anyway pressures were fine and no other signs of glaucoma so I got sent home with my vision disturbance problem un-answered. The problem is really affecting me and i feel at a loss now. I have to use my glasses most of the time to help it a bit even though these are for long distance, they somehow stop the nose shadow being so obvious. My nose isnt big by the way. can anyone help/advise me especially a doctor/specialist?

The Humphrey is the most accurate and most commonly used. The GOldman may check further out into the periphery. No I don't have any strong feeling about what your problem might be.

Thank-you for your reply, I do appreciate it. I've had a humphrey field test and all ok but he said he would refer me for a goldman one too. Is there a difference?
Have you any idea what could cause the type of vision disturbance I've described?

I would suggest you see a neuro-ophthalmologist. They are the Sherlock Holmes of ophthalmology and their daily staple are difficult to diagnose problems. You need a visual field test also.
