Was the test an IOL Master?.... and results

I recently had per cataract surgery testing.....and have questions about one of the tests. The test in question had a pattern of red lights that flashed 4-5 times, then a bright white light  flashed in the center of vision, ending with a light flashing on outside edge of vision.  Is that test the IOL Master? The technician repeated the test three times and stated my "eyes didn't line up".  Finally she said they would use  results of the eye planned for surgery. When I asked the doctor about results, he said everything looked alright. Is the fact that my eyes don't  "line up"  a significant problem? Will it affect the refraction outcome?  Can  you offer more info? Thanks.....

My mistake.....I'm -2.75....not +......I believe my doctor aimed for  -.5......he commented, due to healing my implant moved forward. I've been told the implant is perfectly placed.....but forward.

Since my first post yesterday, I've been reading on the internet about muscle weakness. Is muscle weakness the only reason why eyes do not line up properly? The information could explain problems I've experienced for several years....Is the IOL Master the only test to diagnose misalignment? Looking at my eyes, I do not have a noticeable problem...no turning in or outward......I anticipate surgery on the second eye within the next few months......do you have suggestions for a more accurate outcome? Thank you....

What did you surgeon say about this outcome.  It should not happen with an IOL Master unless there was a very difficult measurement. It sounds like you are over 4 diopter off.

Monovision is about -1.50 or so and your are +2.75, so 4.25 diopter off.

You need a remeasurement!!!

What are possible problems with my eyes that prevent them from lining up properly? My first cataract surgery  (left eye) was set for slight nearsightedness for monovision. The end result was +2.75..... Can you offer suggestions for a compatible outcome?

I believe so.  It may affect results depending on what did not line up.
