Is it Keratoconus?

I visited a eye specialist today and told him aboutseeing halos around bright lights (like streetlamps) at night as well as the steep increase in my myopia.

Here's the history of the degree of my eyes:

Age 17: diagnosed with myopia, around 1.0 or 1.5 for each
Age 18-19: myopia increased by roughly 1.0 for left eye and lesser increase for right eye
Age 19: diagnosed with astig (aroung 0.25 or 0.5) and slight increase in myopia (can't remember exactly)
Age 20-22: astig increased fairly little to the current (R: 0.5 and L:1.0 now) but my myopia increased by another 1.0 in left eye and 0.5 in right eye. Now it stands at 4.5 in left and 3.5 in right.

The time period for the steep increase has been associated with intense near work such as examinations and writing of thesis.

I consulted my doctor about keratoconous which he wasn't really sure but told me that it's rare and myopia isn't really the factor to be considered but my astig which has remained constant for the past 1 year.

Any second opinion if I should be concerned?

Numerous studies have documented that myopia is increasing world wide and major factors: more inside time less outdoors time, more near tasks related to computers, reading, iphones, ipads , video games, etc.

With that low of amount of astigmatism and good visual acuity it is highly unlikely you have K-conus.
