Eye pain following concussion

'm a 27 year old male and I hit the back of my head on the wall over a month ago. I hit it twice in a row out of anger, and afterward I experienced neck/head ache as well as extreme tiredness. I went to the ER 4 days later after symptoms were still present and they said I had a concussion. They performed a CT scan and said everything was FINE! I was relieved to hear this. Every so often, I "tweak" the concussion in various ways, but haven't had too many symptoms other than headaches and neck/back aches. Most of the symptoms went away, but after about 2 weeks, I would wake up in the morning and my left eye (the side I hit the majority of my head) will be SLIGHTLY blurry for a few minutes, but then it will go away. When I'm tired, I also experience a heavy feeling in my left eye. I usually have a controllable lazy eye with that same eye as well when I'm tired. It's just weird because this pain didn't start until around 2-3 weeks AFTER my concussion. The pain where I hit my head is almost gone, but my eye still hurts. NOW it hurts when I shift them to the side too fast, or if I read on the computer. I get this SHARP pain behind my eyes and my eye muscle gets super sore. I went to the Optometrist and they said my eyes are totally healthy and maybe I have a focusing problem?? I'm scheduled with a neurologist, but my appointment isn't for 7 WEEKS! Any advice or hypotheses in the meantime would be helpful. Thanks!

You will need to see an ophthalmologist Eye MD to be sure you have not injured your eye or whether you have some new unrelated problem. Ask your family MD to refer you if you don't already have an ophthalmologist.  An optometrist is not a MD, not a physician and training and experience in these matters much smaller.
