Why is my left eye so blurry?

For quite some time now my eye has been bothering me. Ever since I scratched the cornea of my right eye a few months ago. The problem is, the blurriness in my eye switches alternately between my left and right eye. One day my left eye will be blurry and the next day my right eye will be blurry. Today, it's my left eye that is bothering me. It's not painful or anything, and this is not an everyday occurrence. Everything looks kind of hazy if I close the eye without the blurriness. It's very annoying, having what seems like a film covering your eye every other day. I'm 18, and I do wear reading glasses, and I do have slight allergy problems. So what do you think is the problem, and what can I do to alleviate the eye blurriness?

Thanks for your answer. I've never really heard of Fibromyalgia, and I'm truly sorry that you have to go through this, I hope you get well. I have not been tested for lazy eye or astimatism, I guess it's time for a check up to the eye doctor. But my symptoms are not very painful, so I don't believe it is fibro. I read a description of it, and it sounds very much like what I have. But I'll have to check with the eye doctor to know for sure.

Yes, thanks that would be greatly appreciated, I will do the same too for you, when I find out the problem.

I'm very sorry to hear that you are having problems with your vision. :( I too wear glasses and have been having that same problem, plus others with my vision.

I'm sorry I don't really know what may be causing it but along with it I have been diagnosed with Lazy eye, and astigmatism. Have you been tested for any of those? If not, they might be causing it. That is just an opinion though. Also if you have Fibromyalgia, it may be causing it, because I have Fibro and I know that it can affect your vision. I hope that you don't have fibro though, the joint pain and fatigue are horrible.

The best thing to do that I would recommend is to go see your eye doctor again and let him know that it is really bothering you. Good Luck, I hope you feel better soon! :) If I find out what is causing my vision to become blurry the same way as yours, I will be sure to let you know. :)

Take Care and Best Wishes,
