Working out with high myopia

Hi,

I am 28 years old female.  My eyesight is -9.00 in both eyes.  I have been told to avoid exercise that puts pressure on eyes and can cause retinal detachment.   I have been taking yoga classes and modern dance classes and in both we do stretching where we bend forard and touch the floor with our fingertips as well as "hugg" our legs or just hold the pose for a few minutes.   Is this exercise fine to do for me or should I avoid it and do something else instead?   What is considered an expercise that puts pressure on eyes?   I am just trying to determine what I can and what I shouldn't do.   Thank you a lot!

Standing on your head is not good. Most others are likely okay but you should ask your personal ophthalmologist for a final clearance.
